8 Best Baby Body Wash of 2022

Baby Wash Guide

a. How to Choose Baby Body Wash

1. Light and Moisturizing
Babies should use a light, moisturizing body wash, according to pediatricians. The pH level should range from 4 to 7. Avoid using an alkaline baby wash since it will strip their skin of its natural oils, leaving them with dry skin. Body washes for babies are frequently coupled with shampoo. The lacrimal gland of a baby is still undeveloped and youthful. It is tough for them to produce tears to protect their eyes. It is preferable to select a baby body wash with a tear-free formula.

2. Made of Natural and Non-toxic Ingredients
It is preferable for parents to pick a baby wash that has natural and non-toxic ingredients. The liver and kidneys of the baby are still growing. They are unable to eliminate poisons on their own. SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/ (Sodium Laureth Sulfate). These compounds have the potential to irritate the skin. The term “hypoallergenic” refers to body washes that are mild on a baby’s skin.

3. Free from Alcohol and Fragrances
Body washes with fragrances should be avoided. Hormone disturbance, skin and respiratory allergies have all been linked to fragrances. This is due to the fact that the word “fragrance” on a label frequently conceals a hazardous combination of numerous substances. Despite their link to plenty of health issues, phthalates are used in perfumes but aren’t stated on labels and aren’t banned for usage.

4. Free from Parabens
Synthetic preservatives are commonly used in infant washes and shampoos, as well as many adult personal care products. Almost all Americans tested positive for them, according to the CDC. They’ve been connected to cancer, endocrine disruption, reproductive toxicity, neurotoxicity, and skin irritation.

Cetaphil Baby Wash and Shampoo Review
Both of my daughters have very sensitive skin. Most of the children’s soaps and shampoos make them have little bumps all over so even as they have gotten older we have had to stick with baby sensitive skin body washes and combos. This one has been my favorite so far. I was a Dove fan until I found this one. The scent is light and fresh while being soft on sensitive skin. I use it with the Cetaphil cream to help their skin. Definitely recommend.

Eucerin Baby Wash and Shampoo Review
This works great on my baby’s sensitive skin. She will break out with pretty much anything, but not this. I used to think you had to spend a lot for the gentle wash, but this works just as well as other more expensive brands.

Aveeno Baby Cleansing Therapy Moisturizing Wash Review
My son has a mild case of eczema. Most of the time I just use regular lotion and sometimes a hydrocortisone cream, but then I came across this Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream. This cream has been very effective at controlling his eczema. Since I started using this, I haven’t had to use the hydrocortisone cream at all. Plus this is more gentle for his skin. If your child has a severe case of eczema, they might still need prescription medicine to treat it. But for mild cases like what my son has, I recommend trying this cream first. If you’re lucky like I was, this might be the only product you need.

Baby Wash Dove Rich Moisture Review
I LOVE this product! Only thing I have been able to use on my daughter that works since she was about 6 months old. She is 3 yrs old now and still works great for her skin. Smell is good (faint since for sensitive skin) and does not dry the skin out. I would recommend.

Aquaphor Baby Wash and Shampoo Review
I am an adult user who has dry skin, especially in the winter. This body wash can be used anywhere—hair, body, face—without worry, and the best part is that it does not dry your skin / scalp. I was able to keep a healthy skin this winter thanks to this body wash. It does have a slight plastic-like smell, although it is not unpleasant, and does not remain on your skin at all. The best part is that unlike most other mild cleansers that are extremely slippery and hard to get off, this comes off with relative ease.

Himalaya Moisturizing Baby Bar Review
I bought this originally for my son who is 1yrs old and his skin begin to get sensitive to popular soap such as: baby dove, and aveno. I couldn’t even find the soap and lotion from the 80’s. After a few weeks of using this one I saw results. His skin really enjoys it and some days, I don’t have to put on lotion. I do recommend this soap to the naturalist out in the world.
