Phlebotomy Course Content

• Introduce participants to the theory and practice of phlebotomy.

• Teach participants on occupational health hazards and precautions.

• Show and explain the use of equipment and supplies.

• Demonstrate phlebotomy procedures through practice on phlebotomy arm, videos, and live practice. • Demonstrate various techniques using closed system, microtainers and vacutainers.

• How to avoid pre-analytical errors.

• Teach importance of specimen identification, labeling and processing.

• Describe the problems of phlebotomy and tips on how to handle them.

• Case studies.



Course Duration:

2 Days (Based on an 8-hour-a-day schedule)
