Best Organic Diapers 2022

If you’re on the search for the best organic diapers, you've come to the right place! In this post, I’ll compile informations and diaper products, and hopefully we can assist you to decide the best diaper for your baby.

What Are Organic Diapers?

Organic diapers are made from plant-based materials, for instance bamboo, hemp, and cotton. They can be biodegradable. Additionally, they are free of latex, bleach, chlorine, perfumes, and other toxic materials.

A product must meet specific standards in order to be classified as organic. The Global Organic Textile Standard certification is required for diaper textile products (GOTS). The product must include at least 95% organic certified fibers to meet this standard.

Additionally, a minimum of 70% organic certified fibers must be present in the product for it to claim the "made with organic" label.

Are Organic Diapers Better?

It's very hard to pinpoint the precise components of a disposable diaper. That's why some diapers are potentially contain dangerous contaminants, including tributyltin, phthalates, and dioxins.

While harmful substances are all around us, selecting organic diapers decreases or eliminates one form of chemical exposure, which can be a good thing.

Moreover, allergy responses can be brought on by fragrances. Diaper manufacturer may not give you complete list of the ingredients of their fragrances. As a result, they may include unidentified compounds. Since organic diapers are fragrance-free, they are less likely to cause allergic reactions.

So far I am impressed with these diapers. We have used them for a few nights, so we can protect our organic cotton and wool diapers from rash cream stains. Our daughter sleeps through the night now, and floods her diaper in the early morning. The absorbency has been perfect, we have had no leaks, and daddy thinks she is sweet in her tiny white diapers.

I am pleased to have found a baby-friendly, compostable alternative.

These diapers are great organic fair priced option. They are very very absorbent never have leak throughs, but like every diaper sometimes it comes out the side or back area if baby really lets it rip and is in a position where that happens haha.

They really can hold a lot for a long period of time.
This one night we were just so tired we didn’t change his diaper all night since he didn’t fuss to wake up, and when we changed it after 7-8 hours of wear it was super full with poop and pee, didnt leak but it started to decompose already!!

Don’t recommend leaving your baby in it til it’s at its max (there is a yellow stripe that turns blue more full it gets) even thought they can withstand time just due to diaper rash reasons.

They aren't as soft as Bambo and are priced almost the same so I went back to Bambo. They do their job though and didn't seem to irritate my son

FAQ

1.What is Chlorine Doing in Diapers?

The inner part of the diaper is made of SAP and wood pulp. These materials may be bleached with chlorine to whiten and soften them. This produces dioxin that is a known carcinogen.

Dioxin is also known to damage the immune system and interfere with hormonal systems. Chronic exposure has been linked with health problems such as diabetes, learning disabilities, immune system suppression, lung problems, skin disorders, lowered testosterone levels, and more.

2. Things to Consider When Picking Your Baby's Diaper

a) Pick Trustable Brands
Make sure you pink a trustable brand.

b) Diaper Features
Make sure your diapers have features that are suitable for your condition. For example; Good Absorbency, Wetness Indicator Lines, Soft and Breathable, Stretchability and Fit.

c) Pick the right size

Avoid loading up on one size because your baby will require bigger-sized diapers every few months.

d. Skin Sensitivity
If your baby has sensitive skin like having rash because of diapers. You must look for hypoallergenic diapers. For example: Huggies Little Snugglers

3. How Do You Know if Your Baby is Allergic to Certain Diapers?

If you see a rash on your baby’s skin, beneath and around their diaper and the skin hasn’t been exposed to pee or feces yet, it’s possible they’re experiencing an allergic response to their diaper.

But you must take note, there are possible allergic reactions from certain products, like soap, lotion. And also if your baby’s diet has changed. So, best to make sure of the actual reason.
